Best Practices for Moving your Production & Inventory from one InnoVint Winery to Another

Here are the Best Practices and Tips for Recording Bond to Bond Transfers between InnoVint Wineries. Optional steps are especially relevant if moving wineries.

Important: The person recording the B2B transfers must have either Admin or Team Member capabilities at both the originating and destination wineries.

Special Note: If you are a client at a custom crush facility, work with your host at the destination winery to ensure that your bond # and owner tag are set up in their account.

Steps at the Originating Winery

Step 1: Export all historical data to retain for records

  • Find a list of available exports HERE
  • Recommended: All Lot & Vessel exports, the Winery Activity Feed, Bottlings, & Fruit Intake reports, as well as any Custom Analysis Reports

Step 2: (Optional) Before recording bond to bond transfers (Step 3), place a tag on all barrels and other vessels that are part of the transfer. Example: “Bulk Archive”. Use the bulk add tags function to do this.

Step 3: Record Bond to Bond Transfer to another InnoVint Winery

Note: This action will both empty and Archive each of the transferred lots.

See how to record “B2B to another InnoVint winery” HERE.

    • This must be repeated for all lots (one lot per action).
      • The following information transfers with the lot.
        • Lot code/name
        • Lot composite analysis
        • Vineyard/Block composition(must match exactly or a new vineyard source will be created)
        • Notes on the lot
        • If costing is activated, then current cost data per category is transferred (not the full lot cost history)

Step 4: (Optional - see Step 2) Archive vessels that are physically removed

    • Use the archive multiple vessels function and look up vessels by the “Bulk Archive” tag you added earlier.
    • Archive all the barrels and other vessels that moved out with the shipment

    Steps at the Destination Winery

Step 1: Input newly received vessels

Tip! Speed things up by importing your vessels via .csv

Step 2: Receive volume into bond

See how to record the “B2B Transfer In” action HERE.

    • Fill the lot and associated vessels with volume
    • Add a +Note with the transfer details, such as bond #, address, etc.

    Step 3: (optional)

    • Go to the lot details page and +Add note
    • Save any screen captures of the lot history from the originating winery as a photo note
    • Or, save csv exports from the originating winery as PDFs and add as a PDF note

    Step 4: (optional)

    • Use the per lot analysis exports from the originating winery to record an Analysis Import for each corresponding lot at the destination winery.
    • or Reference import templates HERE

    Step 5: (optional)

Input any dry goods and additive batches to the Additive Explorer. Or make quick work of it and import your packaging via .csv!

    Step 6: (optional)

Follow the steps HERE to link your ETS account at the destination winery (only available if they have the ETS Integration enabled).
