2/28/2025 Product Update: Packaging for Bottling en Tirage and calculated blend costs!

Product updates through February 28, 2025 include two biggies: support for packaging on the Bottling en Tirage action, and support for calculated blend costs in Blend Trials. Both of these impact your lot costs and COGS reports, and we've made some tweaks to communicate when costs are recalculating too!

Features/Improvements

Packaging for Bottling en Tirage

It's here!  For our sparkling users who have long desired a better way to track packaging (and cost!) for their lots en tirage, we now support the same edit packaging functionality that exists for our bottling action.

Easily consume bottles, bidules and crown caps and track the direct packaging cost while your lot remains in bulk wine.

Find out more about Bottling en tirage and our Sparkling module! The Bottling en Tirage task is also supported for InnoApp!

Calculated Blend Costs

In line with making your COGS easier to track and understand, we've added the capability to see the calculated cost on your mock blends in our Blend Trials module!

See the unit cost and potential cost contribution of each lot component in your blend as line items.  In the calculated blend cost widget, view the contribution of different cost categories.

An accompaniment to the calculated blend cost release is the capability for all Blend Trials users (currently limited to admin permissions only) to export their blend sheets in csv!  This csv includes columns for blend trial name, mock blend name, lot code/name, total on-hand lot volume, blend %, and blend volume, plus the cost contribution (broken down by cost category) for each lot.

Cost Recalculations

If you or your accounting team are making cost changes in your account, you will now see a clear indication in most reports that a recalculation is taking place.

This is to help users avoid running reports on out-of-date costs.

Please keep in mind that editing or adding fruit costs, especially to older vintages, will profoundly impact costs across your account, and that cost recalculations take some time.

Changes to your Fruit Cost Worksheet will trigger a rebuild of the costs for all lots in your winery. This rebuild will also be triggered each time you edit a contract.

If you are finding that this banner is lingering a long time (more than an hour) after completing a series of costing edits, please reach out to support@innovint.us and we may be able to trigger a quicker rebuild once you are completely done with cost edits or entries.

Bug Fixes

  • The Winery Activity Feed's export for deleted actions now populates the "Deleted by" column.  Every now and then, this is super handy for tracking down what happened!

Did you know that you can export your deleted actions?? Check out the Export Deleted Actions link in the Winery Activity Feed!

This can be really helpful if you've had to delete multiple actions in order to make an action edit!

  • We've added an error message for in case you create a Case Good Lot over our code character limit.
