How to track vineyard data in Fruit lots

This article covers how to track vineyard data in accounts without the Grow module (formerly known as Advanced Vineyard Tracking). For more information on tracking vineyard data by Block with Grow activated, see this article in our Support Center.

For those without Grow, vineyard data and maturity analytics can also be recorded and tracked on Fruit lots.

Depending on how you sample and track your vineyard data, fruit lots can be representative of an entire block or multiple picks from the same block.

How to track vineyard sampling data

Direct action

Find your Analysis direct actions via the Record action menu on the top navigation bar:

Use the Fruit Lot filter in the Lot picker to find and select your Fruit lot

Or, access the Record action menu on your Fruit lot details page by accessing the Fruit Lot Explorer to find and select your Fruit lot:

In the Record action menu, find your available actions.

Analysis

  • Select Analysis from the drop-down list
  • Select your source, add analysis types or select your panel, and run on Lot composite (Fruit lots do not have vessels)
  • Fill in your analysis value(s)
  • Click on 

Analysis Import

Find detailed information, including templates and formatting requirements, for importing analyses here.
  • Select Analysis Import from the drop-down list
  • Select your source, then click on 
  • Select you file and double check that the correct fruit lots are selected for Lot/Vessel mapping
  • Click on 

Work Orders

Create a new work order for Fruit lot analysis:

  • In the top Nav bar via the Create work order button/menu
  • In the Work Order Explorer, via the +Create work order button
  • In the Vineyard OR Fruit Lot Explorers, via the blue Create work order button

Set up your analysis task:

  • Click on +Add task and select Analysis (Analysis Import is not available as a task)
  • Select your analysis types and run on lot composite
  • Select your fruit lots
  • Don't forget to give your work order a title and assign it to a winery member before you click on

InnoApp

Using the InnoApp, you can record analysis from right in the vineyard, even offline!

  • Open the InnoApp on your device
  • Search for or select your fruit lot from the Lot list
    Tip: use the search field and enter "FL" to skip to your Fruit lots
  • Click on Record Action
  • Select Analysis from the menu, then choose Lot Composite and enter your analysis value(s)
  • Click on Record at the bottom of the page

How to track vineyard data

If you  do not have the Grow module activated, which allows you to record specific vineyard management events by Block, such as Phenological Events (Germination of Cover Crop, Budbreak, Bloom, Fruit Set, Hard Seed, Veraison), Application Tracking (Irrigation, Spraying, Pruning, Thinning, Training, Additions/Treatments, Cover Crop/Weed Control, Fruit Drop) and Visual Observations (Water Status, Nutrient Status, Soil Conditions, Pest and Disease Monitoring), you can also record Fruit lot and Vineyard data with the following options:

Custom Actions on Fruit lots

If there is any data that you would like to record as part of your fruit lot history (e.g. canopy management, crop thinning, spraying, etc.), custom actions or tasks are your answer!

  • Select Custom Action from the drop-down list for Direct actions, or add a Custom task to your work order.
  • (optional) Change the title of your Custom Action/Task by clicking on the pencil to the right
  • (optional) Add a text note
  • Fill in the details
  • Record your Custom Action, or create your Custom Task work order!

Notes 

Record vintage or lot specific details via notes on Fruit lots, Vineyards or Blocks:

  • On Fruit Lots
    • Find all your Fruit lots in the Fruit Lot Explorer:
    • Select your Fruit lot and from the Lot details Dashboard, click on  "Add note."


  • On a Vineyard or Block
    • From the Vineyard or Block details page, click on  "Add note."
