What is the difference between the "Rack" and "Rack and Return" actions?
Rack: moving a lot out of it original vessel(s) into different ones. A Rack action/task cannot return the lot being moved back to the vessels it came out of within the same action or task.
- While a lot is being racked, it can keep its initial code, be racked into another lot, or be racked and end with a new lot code
- A lot can be racked to more than one final destination lots
- Lees can be kept or discarded and either combined into an existing lot or a new lees lot can be created for them
Rack and Return: Moving a lot from it's vessel(s), to a temporary holding vessel, and then back to the original vessel(s).
- Lots being racked and returned maintain their same lot code throughout the movement
- Lees can be kept or discarded and either combined into an existing lot or a new lees lot can be created for them
