How to Schedule Fruit

Planning is important for harvest, and in order to understand how big your days will be, it can be helpful to schedule fruit deliveries ahead of time in InnoVint.  In order to schedule these fruit deliveries, i.e. Receive Fruit actions in InnoVint, you will need to create a Receive Fruit task in a work order.

Once you have a Receive Fruit task created, you will see it in a few places, covered in this article. The expected weight and arrival times surfaced in these views are populated by the information input in the Receive Fruit task or submitted action. Read on about:

Activity Calendar

The main Activity Calendar is accessed via the lefthand navigation menu, using the calendar icon .

This view will show you all submitted actions (in green) and scheduled activity (open work orders, in blue), and also allows you to drag & drop open work orders to new due dates.

How does this help with your fruit schedule?  Use the Work Order filter to view your open Receive Fruit work orders.  In the Activity Calendar, you can drag and drop open work orders in order to move them around (and re-schedule deliveries and other work). Include Process Fruit to Weight/Volume and/or Drain and Press tasks to see upcoming scheduled processing and pressing in conjunction with fruit receipts.

    Harvest Calendar

More details specific to fruit receival are available on the Harvest Calendar. This calendar is built to allow to you see the total expected (in blue), and received (in green) weight for each day, for a selected week or month. The daily total weights are totaled by fruit color (e.g. white, red, etc).

This calendar does not include processing actions, and will not let you drag and drop open work orders in order to reschedule. Learn all about the Harvest Calendar here

    Harvest Launchpad

The Harvest Launchpad is a single interface for crushpad operations. It's a great tool for viewing the upcoming schedule, and planning what equipment you will need that day or week based on your incoming fruit.

The Harvest Launchpad displays all open work orders that contain at least one Receive Fruit task, and any submitted work orders for the current day. Un-submitted work orders from previous days will also populate the launchpad. Each day shows the total expected and/or received weight of red, white, pink and orange fruit. Get full details on Harvest Launchpad here.

Access the Harvest Launchpad from the Vineyard Dashboard (click on Launchpad from the Quick Links at the top) or by selecting Harvest Launchpad from the left navigation bar (Vineyards > Harvest Launchpad).

    Current Harvest Report

The Current Harvest Report will show you the current harvest status of all your vineyard blocks. Possible statuses are: Received, Received - partial, Scheduled, Forecasted, Unplanned.

This report shows Scheduled, Received and Received - partial based on open Receive Fruit tasks and submitted actions, and it also displays status based on specific recorded Vineyard Block events, such as Crop Estimates, and Harvest Forecasts.

    Scheduled fruit vs Forecasted fruit

Utilizing Harvest Forecasts for your Current Harvest Report can be very helpful in planning your schedule; however, Harvest Forecasts will not populate the Harvest Calendar, Activity Calendar or Harvest Launchpad.

You must create a Receive Fruit action or task in order to populate those "Scheduled" views and also mark the block as "Scheduled" in the Current Harvest Report.

Find the Harvest Forecast action on the Vineyard Dashboard, in the Vineyard Details and Block details under the "Harvest" menu.

To complete a Forecast, fill out the expected harvest date, and block details.

    • If you access the Harvest forecast screen via the Vineyard Block details, then the VIneyard/Block information will default to the current block.

Please note that the "Weight to receive" recorded on the Harvest forecast will not display as the Crop Estimate. This is a reference field only.

Once a Forecast block is received (or scheduled in a work order), then the block will update on the Current Harvest Harvest Report.
