We strongly recommend purchasing weatherproof labels. These are best for cellar conditions where the label may get wet, dirty, damaged, or all of the above.
This article covers label choices for:
- Sheet labels (for a standard office printer)
- Ribbon labels for label printer (for Dymo and/or Zebra printers)
You do not need a special printer besides your standard office printer. Laser printers are best for weatherproof labels, however we do have a recommendation for inkjet weatherproof label printers below.
|Supported Label Size||Product Codes|
|Vessel QR Codes Labels and Lot Labels||
4" x 2"
2 5/8" x 1"
For Laser Printers: Avery product codes: #5520 for 1"x2 5/8" and #5523 for 2x4"
For Inkjet Printers: Vinyl Inkjet Weatherproof labels from Sheetlabels
|ETS Sample Container Labels||2 1/3" x 3 3/8"|
For Laser Printers: We have tested and validated weatherproof labels from Avery (#5520 for 1x 2 5/8" and #5523 for 2x4") and SheetLabels. There are many places to order Avery-style labels from including Amazon, U-Line, and Office Depot. For SheetLabels.com you want to order directly from their site.
For Inkjet Printers: We have tested and recommend Sheetlabels for their inkjet-specific weatherproof labels.
If you have a Dymo or Zebra printer, or any ribbon-label printer that accepts pdf files, this is the option for you! InnoVint creates a pdf of individual labels to send to your label printer for printing.
The label sizes we support are:
- 4" x 2 1/8"
- 2 1/4" x 1 1/4"
Note: At this time, InnoVint does not support ribbon-label printing for ETS sample labels. We recommend sheet labels for ETS samples.
